A site I did.....
I do webstuff for fun. I know that I don't know a whole hell of a lot about web stuff, css, flash, xhtml, etc. So all my sites are simple. I am redoing my personal site and am trying to find something different........right now I have a menu system setup like the one on this page, but it's not to fancy or anything. What things should I be lookin into? Don't get me wrong, I like the look of the site, just nothing fancy is what it is. Critique please.......I use dreamweaver mx 2004 D-Day THANKS |

depends what the purpose of the site is i'd say ! if you looking to attract a certain type of person you might want to think about designing it in a certain way. ive only started getting into the whole CSS side of things and can really see the benefits of it all. also accessibility standards would be good to get into. in the past i never really spent too much time worrying about standards and what way a site would appear on different browsers but can really see the benefits of this and its not too hard to get your head around once you start! Im no expert and im sure other people have other opinions on it! regarding Dreamweaver you may also want to learn a bit about hand coding (if you dont already) as its always useful to have in my experience! hello m8 i was wondering if u could explain what ur group is about a bit more? did u make all those model planes urself? they are very cool , nicely painted. about the site, i think ur content is good but maybe change the black background? its a bit grim at the moment. and try making some buttons for ur menu items, or take the border off the table they are in, looks a little square. |
