it's a lost cause. this is harsh, and i understand that, but pay someone to do this for you - a professional.

Strange... i_am_cam has a point. If it's any help penguin, you need to compare it with some more contemporary sites - the look for me is really dated. Also, your link to 'signup' has been spelt 'singup'. Thought it was some sort of patriotic anthemic statement... Good luck with it anyway.

MS Paint for life... I have not seen that shade of blue for a while...

Seriously dude, pay someone to do it for you or buy a template. www.templatemonster.com

Also, rembembering 9-11 is important, but you don't want to make people sad when you come to your site, does not make people go into a "lets get this guys services because he is so sensitive mood."

Cheers.

Plastic art?? The top part was from a web template, slightly modified. I was just trying to give a tech feeling to my sight. And I dont have my old page, deleted it, was not getting good feedback from web designers.

I'm sorry - but I'm still getting the, er, heebie jeebies about it. It's better, but why not compare it to some of the other showcase sites in here? I think the line '1995 all over again' has some resonance. Give yourself a break, don't beat yourself up about it. People in here are pretty critical and sometimes might miss the point, I don't know - if at the end of the day the customers are coming in, why worry? Ask the customers what they think! Nice one at least for changing signup and singup... And nice one too for pulling the 9/11 thing out. I think it depresses more than impresses. Besides, for some it has a different meaning, so I think keeping the politics out helps. Hope this makes some sense!?

Agree 100% - even with your new design. It's disjointed, oddly coloured and has awful aliasing. I'm afraid you still have a lot to learn. But once you have crossed the gap from site hack to designer you'll feel the effort was worth it.

Learn HTML, Learn CSS , and study sites that use them well, and then have another go.

can't read the green text on the gray, it does not really instill a level of confidence about your comapany, it looks like a DIY job and sends out a negative message to anyone who sees it. If you want it to look proffesional, get a proffesional to do it.

"Comapany" as in COMPANY and "proffesional", as in PROFESSIONAL, right>?! Guess a 'pro' has to be able to spell, right..?! Joke, joke.

I am trying to take all your advise. I dont know css. When I open it up in my browser and go from page to page it all lines up, when building the site, the tables never change, so I am a little lost on whats not lining up. Other than everything not lining up with the first page, but there not supposed to. As far as coloration, its not supposed to have some sexy appeal to it...LOL its supposed to have a computer feel to it, hense bits and pieces I took and altered from a template. What exactly is wrong with the way I allign it in the center? I have gone through sites, looked over templates. And still I am just in a never ending pit of hell. I cant afford to have a professional design my site, most templates are preset with the buttons, and as you can see from my site, most buttons on templates do not include what I want. I am just at the breaking point here. I thought the whole idea behind my company was good. I love helping people with there computer problems, apparantly people enjoy wasting money going to people that could fix there way outta a paper bag. Maybe its time to throw in the towel on ConsultEv

Don't ditch your business just because your site isn't...up to snuff. Your website isn't the end-all be-all of your company. Just make do with what you've got for now and when you start earning some cash, hire a professional.

Ok, I actually found a nice template, however it seems like it was pieced together like a puzzle, this is the link http://www.freewebtemplates.com/temp...?id=3&start=24 its the 3rd one down on the left. How much would someone charge to take the stuff from my site and intergrate it to this one? email me at Everette@consultev.com
Thanks

If you're going to pay someone, why don't you get them to do a decent unique design?
