It's too dark. Not a bad use of space though - would benefit from lighter colours and some padding, line-heights I think.

It reminds me of Coda (http://coda.co.za/) only he makes better use of padding and sectioning the, err, sections.

What they said. Looks pretty good, though.

About the text contrast - it all depends on your intended audience - if you're focusing on designers (and other visually acclimated persons) you should be fine. Of course, in that case you might up the text size a touch because most of those people are using higher resolutions (1280+).

coda also scales with smaller screens, this doesnt..

I really like it. It's a bit hard to read, though. Perhaps darkening the text under "visualBlog"?

It took a bit for me to notice the navigation, too.

Great Colors, nice background and great banner image,
but yeah i have a small issue with the headers, there not as obvious as they could be.
But yeah looks really pleasing to the eye
