Wedding photography web site, review please
I've just 'updated' one of my previous clients web sites to be valid html 4.01 & css. The main layout is now css but some of the content pages still use tables - I'm working on that so dont pay too much attention to that for the moment. What i'm looking for is feedback on the design, and ease of use. I'm also trying to get the site to rank fairly well in google, so i've changed all the pages from dynamic /?page=pagename to /pagename.php. If people could let me know of anything which is stopping the site from being indexed properly i'd be gratefull, at the moment i'm waiting for google to re-index the site and hopefully realise its moved from its old domain (which has a 301 redirect on it, but it still being indexed by google) Will Wheeler Photography Thanks - Chris |

It's functional, that's for sure. However, I feel that the contrast is not enough and the purple rollovers are a bit jarring. The code is decent, but definitely look into using something other than <h1> - don't forget about <h2>, <h3>, and so on. Also, you should probably stick to one <h1> per page - i.e. make it the title of the site, for instance, and use a CSS image replacement technique to put that image at top onto each page. |
