Site critique please.
Hello, I almost finished new project photobanks.info, but I'm not sure about navigation. Is it clear at first sight how to navigate? And general critique will be much appreciated too! Thanks. |

it's a nice idea, but no, not obvious how to use it everything is competing to be lowest of the low key, which leaves me wondering where the hell I'm supposed to click to see some photos i'd suggest giving the main entry page a different design that is simpler, uses photograhpy and makes it obvious where to start good luck with it dAN |

The Googe Ads headers are ranked higher than all your headers except 'Welcome', need to alter this. As people have said, a sense of a visual hierarchy is missing, I think at least you need to bring out the navigation a little, even if you box in and colour it a little. It looks the same as all the other areas on that left side. |

The other issue: on my Mac/Safary page flashes naked for a second. Without css I mean. Somebody noticed that? |

The list of links on the left - the only sense of their importance is the hierarchy. I feel you should really lead the user through the site - help them find what they're looking for, make it easy to get to some photos. If they can't figure out where to go, they'll leave. I imagine your number one destination for people is going to be the "Navigation" section - perhaps make that stand out somehow? Pretty nice job so far! |
