I didn't realise people here took that much notice of each other.

I prefer it to the previous design. Flash again though.

Well, err... I thought that old buddy posted his site for a review, not for us to share our experiences with young Greek pinkos</joke> :P hehe...

But anyways... I don't really understand the concept of the knife... I mean, I understand it, but how does a can-opener symbolize animation? I mean, if the logo on the knife symbolized anything but your logo designs, I would shoot myself in the foot :P So that makes sense hehe...
Scissors = programming?
Blade = design?

Well, if you don't want a "concept" in your design, you can keep this, but since it's in flash, I think it'd be hell-a-cool if you had the parts of the knife folded in, and then have the "web design", "logos" and what not in the navbar... then, whenever someone goes to the "logo" section, the logo on the knife blinked... or like a line came out and gave a sub menu... or when they go to the 'website design' link, the blade folded out and had website design engraved on it... and do the whole submenu thing... and insead of me repeating myself each time, I'll just say, "and so on, and so forth." :P lol

I konw you did the knife and logo with vectors (or that's what it looks like to me), but did you do their reflection like that too? Or did you just use a gradient and flipped it around? Either way, it looks cool

we go offtopic all the time - that's waht makes even the most boring posts interesting sometimes!

you can do gradients in vector too

this type of knife is in Europe known as the Swiss Army Knife - a kind of a multi-purpose knife. That's the metaphore. Unfortunately (stealthcow) it's been done before... several times. I'm just being honest
The drawing is well made but..

<joke>Err... dorian... I hope you're just being a smart-arse :P lol... Because, well, Swiss Army Knifes are only in Swissland! DUH!</joke>

hehe... seriously though man, those things are all over the world :P lol Matter of fact I've got one that I bought from Herzog's in Calw, Germany... I bet nobody in here knows where Calw is :P

But now that you explained it to me, I understand it now... :P That's a pretty cool idea there... :P

Since the pocket knife has been used, he can always use duct tape! Cuz if you can't Duck it, F$%* it! hehe... That stuff will fix anything, and is very multi-purpose! You can bind people's hands together, cover their mouth, their eyes, and even cause serious pain by putting it on a hairy man's arm and just ripping it right off! That HURTS! lol... :P

hehe... And err... dorian, I know we get off topic alot here... I was joking... notice my <joke> tags...

<joke>idiot</joke>

woah, u lot have been busy posting!!

anyway, u seem to have understood the concept, im not too bothered whether others have used the idea before, as long as i make the design unique..

as for the reflection, what i did was flip the image i drew, made it transparent, then created a gradient that went from white to transparent and put it over

oh, and refresh the page cause its been updated (you can change the colour of the knife)

As the pocket knife itself changes, you could also have the circles (of the links) blink that color

Like the overall feel - needs a little bit of tweeking.

Find the logo a bit intrusive, maybe make it a bit smaller, and again the type needs a bit of work. The menu bar would benefit form a bit of tonality, greyed backgrounds or some such. Make the reflection change colour as well.

But overall I like the feel of it. Good knife too

everyone else has covered the stuff on the knife and that.......but plz fix the f'in alignment on those links on your bottom-right corner of the page, I'm ready to snap and punch my monitor (alignment is my thing ;P). If you're having problems with the text running down due to it being for 8x6 (?) then right-align them so that you don't cause that wave down the left side of the links. My eyes are going all over the place because of it
