Hello everyone, I’m a design student currently developing this website http://www.islamicarchitecture.org - The site theme was created by the Admin when he first published the site; I have made several modifications to the site and will be doing more work on it. I noticed many people here have provided some great feedback to others and I would like you all to go-ahead and criticize the website, constructively, based on the Technical use of the navigation, the content structure, design aesthetics, and interactivity. Thank you. |

The flash intros pretty cool the music works well, i would definetly be inclined thou to change the logo "Islamic Architecture" to something else it doesnt seem to stick out or grab my attention and also lose the black outline on the logo aswell well. |

i think u should take the sound out the flash and make that a theme for the whole website by putting your whole website in 2 frame one at the top with the music menu and the rest of your site as normal at the bottom. ( with the music switch at the top etc ) like the overall border around your site ... dont like the news being outside everything looks like my stuff a bit messy. other than that... nice ... looks like a lot of work went into that.... |

U got to be kidding, the flash is terrible and font is ugly and hard to read. Loose the border its foul, like the guy said 1 pixel or none at all, this needs alot more work. Do some research about design and look at some of the points that have been made about other peoples sites on "designers"talk.com and take note from them. |

This is the opposite of constructive criticism.. Users need not follow such feedback. |

Calling something terrible and ugly without providing explanation is not criticism, its sarcasm. In order to understand a feedback, it must contain elaboration on what makes something unpleasant looking or as he based it ‘terrible’. I’m seeking feedback that can outline what’s best to do and what’s not. The site border is the theme of the site and can’t be changed as per the org. request. |

Hmm I like it but one thing I dont like is that while reading the front page its a bit hard to keep my eyes on on left side column of the page with out being destracted by the right column You need to find a way to seperate the two. Also this is just me but I always hated navigating using drop down menus. As for C4D's post. Well what can you do. At least you dont have a useless splash page and force your user to enter a second page that takes 45 min to load on a 3mbit connection. yay |

You obviously have potential to be a desinger because you defend you work to the very end with all guns blazing. I was a little harsh but its something every designer has to deal with at some point, so just take onboard what I sugested and move onto the next point. Dont take it personally |
