no2 looks more contemporary. no.1 looks a bit dated i reckon. as for fixed or fluid. i'd go for fixed. maybe put a solid background colour to the right on no.2? ::: TC Magazine :::

no.1 I think diffrent fonts and tone down the colors look at the grid again. no.2 I think punch it up a bit and try getting away with a more daring grid. anyone else? |

if you make it fluid, you lose control of the balance of the site. if its fixed you know how it will look, regardless of whether its on a tiny monitor or a huge monitor. ::: TC Magazine :::

Fixed is the best way to display a heavy copy site, if the website was more of a showcase site with little copy then the fluid option would have more of an arguement in my experience... however I maybe misinterpreting the phrase "fluid", correct me if i am wrong |

I don't agree 1 looks dated. its far more corporate in design. Remember it doesn't have to be a work of fashionable art. It's about the brand and I think loads of people here are forgetting this and trying to use the lastest trendy 45 degree lines etc. 2 is nice but doesnt suit the company I don't think IMHO. Jase
