Hello,

I'd appreciate a check on the following http://new.lincolncollege.ac.uk/
This is my first attempt at a (X)HTML /CSS site so I won't be too supprised at whatever bugs etc. appear. It's nearing completion but some of the pages are still to have the correct content added.
Any feedback and (constructive

) criticism you have on the sites useability/ accessability/ design would be great.
Its been tested on IE6/FireFox1/Opera7 and Lynx but I'd especially like to know how it displays on Mac browsers as I don't have access to any.

It functions very well, I can't see anything wrong with that. I just really don't like the look of it all. Ditch the lilac, it doesn't match with the orange. I think the "Lincoln College" needs to stand out a bit more, rather than making the top look like an advert, make it look like a proper header, make use of the logo, and name.. then have the slogan near by..

Good idea to have a mix of people in the random image, but do white men have to be represented by him? He looks like a cock.

Alaska-Design - I'm not so keen on the colour scheme myself but these are the colleges corporate colours so not much room for change. Thanks for the advice regarding the header, I'll have a play around with it.

Stickman - Had a good chuckle at your comment. The guy featured is off a stock photo CD and has been used in previous printed publicity material, I'm trying to get some connection to what potential students may pick up as a flyer etc. and then what they see on the website.
