Please have a look at...

...my latest web-creation made for Yaazo Cosmetic by Anja Lohrmann (even if youīre not into wellness and stuff ) That site is already online for some weeks, and I got a lot of feedback. Anyway, Iīd love to hear what designers all around the world think about it

www.yaazo.de

Thank you very much!

hi there. yeah, your posting was the most useful for me...although I donīt know whatīs wrong with the "soundtrack"...i think itīs ok (especially if you consider that itīs a free one). itīs pretty hard to get licences for music samples (at least at major labels - as they want huge sums for some seconds of music). actually i wanted to use a sample by the sam ragga band from hamburg. as iīve seen, youīre into music, so perhaps you could help me out next time so, donīt get me wrong, i was just a bit pissed by the other 2 writers. cheers.

No probs! The thing I've always learnt is if you're going to have music on a site at all, you either make it yourself (if you can) to suit the mood and style, or find some music that's pretty minimal, something quite atmospheric.. anything by Kid606 off of PS I love you, or anything by Gas, Tim Hecker.. I wouldn't worry about copyright on any of that, those bands don't give a fuck. That music keeps you hooked, it's all subliminal..

What i meant by "Flash for Flash's sake" was that there's no real need for the mains ection of the site to be done in Flash - a non-flash, xhtml layout would be more friendly towards more users. Then you could just keep the movie, and maybe the navigation in flash. Though i would advise a simple, non-flash navigation.

The fl;ash movie itself, witht he shampoo bottle thing, if you're going to keep that, do it on a white background, try and get a better wuality of film, and try and integrate it more with the actual site. It's a bit out of place at the mo.

hope that helps a bit.

hi there!

Alaska-Design arenīt you a friend of using music within websites? i love audio(visual) stuff as it adds a lot of spice (...at least if itīs done well, and IF you like the sounds/music, hehe), but in the end thatīs a question of each ones flavour - like with so many stuff, right? In earlier projects i used different music stuff on my sites. for example i used music of the german alternative/rock band PYOGENESIS on a site for a car rental agency. then i made a lot of stuff with hip hop instrumentals from several DJīs, and I even made one site with my own music - but iīm a better singer than instrumentalist, so i quit that shit as you see, iīm into music, too...and if you want you can check all this stuff out as soon as my portfolio will be ready. iīd love to hear what you think about it. iīd also like to check out these music(ians) you talked about. when it comes to copyright stuff, youīre probably right...perhaps i worry about that too much.

pat that criticism was much better than your last one. itīs an interesting view that this bottle animation might be a bit "out of place" - i shall think about your view. thanks. after all, i think that flash is the desigerīs best tool to create websites. beside many other advantages, the best about it is, that websites *always* look the same - no matter if youīre using a pc or mac; IE or mozilla and so on. i made html sites many years ago, and after i discovered flash I donīt wanted to make my stuff netscape navigator compatible and shit like that anymore. if youīre into hardcore coding, ok, please go on - we need good coders.

Well that's fair enough, it all depends on the target audience I suppose. MSN me if you can..
