my two site on one url

Hi my name is Carl and I would like to introduce myself with my two sites. First is CarlDesigns, CarlDesigns is a personal site where I display my art as well as some photoshop brushes, templates and wallpaper made by me. The second site is called Dezines. Dezines is a link portal site with link that are submitted to me and if I think the site has some qualities, I posts them on Dezines.

Please check out both sites and let me know what you think.

http://carldesigns.net

Thanks, Carl.

DEZINES is decent......like the color scheme though theres nothing to break the monotony at all and the maroon doesnt quite fit well

carldesigns is about the same.....i just really dont like that menu/logo font

Dezines is pretty professional, good layout etc (map at the top is abit...bitmappy/jagged)

Carldesigns i don't really like, colour schemes ok but a bit boring, the font for the links and banner are awful, and the menu system is horrible. Do drop downs, or even normal, simple pop menus.

Don't like the banner image either, i'd just have a bit of a rethink as to what your'e actually showing off in the site, reflect that in your banner

Thanks, pat.
Last night I took out the Java rollovers to try and bring out some more colors to the site. On the banners, the banners are on a php random script so they change on click of the link. Plus I loaded up the banners in photoshop last night and readjust the brightness and contrast of them to make them brighter. The navigation font, I agree with you myself. I'm just not for sure what font to use to replace them. Seem like no matter what font I use I'm just not happy with.

Thanks, Carl.

If any one with safari that views my site and has a probelm with it. Please send me a ss at carl@carldesigns.net. I am also working on some of the codes to validate them.

Thanks to every one who has a opinion.

Thanks, Carl.

I'd just use a simple, sans font. No special features, just inkeeping with the body font.

The brushes are cool, although the colors blend to much, and it looks muddy. just my two cents-

I changed the menu font to fit the rest of the site a little bit better. Thank you all for the input and advices. as for a different menu sytle of drop menus. The reason I did it the way it is so it doesn't go down over everthing else. Once again thank you all for the advice and opinions.

Thanks, Carl.
