Ok. The splash screen looks like it has potential but there is nothing there apart from a few fading lines! There should be at least some readable text on it. Also make the image bigger - I'm on 800x600 and it was still small!

Then as a contrast the popup was so big I couln't fit it all in.

Overall very trendy design but impractical.

(site needs a public health warning telling visitors to turn down there speakers if they've just been listening to loud music.)

It's a nice idea and I'm normally inclined to give anything bordering on experimental (sound) the thumbs up, but in this instance the sound that plays automatically upon load is simply too loud and too obnoxious for a 'welcome sound'.

Knocking the volume down a few pegs would make it a bit less off-putting. imho.

ok ok some answers now
everbody is right about the sound volume that i had fixed right now.
the other case about 800*600 resolution is i don't care this resolution.
and text doesnt have to be read everytime, they can also have a graphical value without being readable.

I agree, text can have a purpose beyond legibility and you can read the information type. It would be nice to see this integrated a little more with the rest of the design though.

Really like that 3D chess board
