Flash Isometric Casino

Just thought I would share with you a project I did last year. I have moved webhost and decided to upload it properly at last.

It is a sim city style Isometric 3D management game, the idea to run a casino. Since I did this (as a final year degree project) there has been a game released commerially with the premise.

I wrote the Actionscript engine myself - just been looking at the new FoE book which demos how to do a similar thing... aghhh - took ages to get it working!

Note the game doesn't actually work, it was a technology demo on using Flash as a game interface, and there was no time to do any AI or gameplay. But if you build some doors in your casino, you will get customers coming in and wandering around.

Isometric flash might be a bit passé now, but when I did this (started work on it over 18 months ago, in Flash 5) it was a bit special. The entire swf is only 150k, including all the AS, graphics and sounds.

BTW, it tends to slow down a bit on slower machines. Should be OK on faster ones though.

Looks good, although I didn't play for too long. Impressive bit of flash.

The full screen is very annoying, especially when you have to wait for it to load.

yes, i agree too. I had never got round to removing it - but now, especially for you, I've just made it a standard popup.

apologies for the crap 'homepage' too - as I say, its just a demo...

colours a little harsh - but if it's supposed to look 'retro' then maybe it's ok...
looks fun apart from that.
