What are your thoughts

I've gone for a more minimal design than usual for me.

Barry Richards Web Designer Portfolio

I'm really happy with it, but could do with some opinions.

Any comments on the copy would be great aswell.

Another thing is the js scroller, it's not completely smooth on the transitions. Anyone else getting that?

merci

The smoothness can depend on what stress your system is under. I noticed it slows down heavily when you have more firefox windows open etc. I never use the same tab when debugging, so I sometimes have about 70-100 tabs open so it usually fucks things up then. Also, I've noticed that Opera ALWAYS scrolls smoothly no matter what. It's wierd.

Smooth as fuck here, though.

Looks sexy to me. Job well done!

nice mate. i know all the issues you have been having with the scroller and buttons but the arrors on the right don’t look right to me. they look like a repeating bg or something (i is no designer though so don’t take what i say for anything) and if your going to have a mug shot you really need it to be a better one than that.

Cheers for that, I was thinking the same thing because it was working fine last night.

I'm on 1280x800, and it looks OK, but I can imagine on a bigger screen you would be able to see the scroller buttons for the next page creep in.

I will eventually try out one of the scripts posted on the other thread, so there is only one set of up/down buttons in a fixed position.

Is the mugshot really that bad? Before I had one of me looking all studious and serious with a smart shirt and glasses but then noticed most creative companies have casual photos of their staff, often over a pint or laughing.

In general i quite like it.

the headre part is a problem area for me.

think it would be better in the text was range left and in sentence case.

Would have barry richards and web designer in the same size and just differentiate the 2 using colour

Yeah definitely have one arrow nav that is fixed in place. Confusing to see those arrows reappear every time you scroll.
