fair enough, the round corner was just an example, it'd still apply to other things, I guess you just have to position anything for the bottom of background elements at the top of your sprite image!

to answer your question properly

you are right - if you used the same sprite for a big div then you'd see bits you didn't want to see

you'd either have to make a shorter div or use a different sprite

i believe css3 will sort this out - i.e size dimensions on background images

Oh Nice, another way to fix it I suppose is to put all the images in a line horizontally, aligned to the bottom. That way you can align it to the top or the bottom without causing any issues.

Yeah.

Make a couple of sprites depending on what you need.

One long, one wide

few improvements if i may....

-
Make the line length on the introductory paragraph the same width as you picture grid range left. Centralised text looks a bit odd when the rest of the site is off to the left.

-
Not sure about the way the project descriptions are crammed in vertically. Could do with some wite space in that are - but thats mostly down to your decision to go fixed on the height

-
Tighten leading on your copy a touch.

-
More evidence of other services i.e branding/print

minor points, though. I like it

I say leave the leading on the copy as it is - I paid note to the good line spacing! And "copywriter/copywriting" is one word, although my spell checker insists that it should be copy-writing. The foolish thing!

yeah, leave the line heights as they are...this isn't print, and you never know what some nutter may have their system set to.

other than that - like it, but not big on the easing transitions you have there in the work. A bit too much bouncing around for me.

also, there are a few items here and there that could be reworded a tad for better semantic meaning (i.e. ditch 'click here' on the contact page and just link 'open the project planner'). Overall tho, nice job

prettier urls?
It seems to be fine now, but when I looked before it was using URLs that looked like e.g. http:// safeasmilk.org/wp-content/cache/supercache/safeasmilk.org/about/index.html.

Great, clean design and framework. I enjoyed the simplicity.
