OSX themed Wordpress Theme

Appleicious - Just another State College Web Design | Brambling Design weblog

It's not finished, but I have a few questions for you all, and would like some design critique as well.

1) The sidebar - Right now, all of the widgets are draggable, and independent of each other. This is really just for effect, and I don't see any practical use of it. I could make it so that they are all fixed position, and move up when the one above it is collapsed.

2) Up until now, I've released all of my themes to wordpress.org for free, which is all good, because it gets me a lot of links back to my site for seo, and sometimes (rarely) a few jobs (I've been having trouble finding work which is why I've been making so many themes lately). I've been considering selling this one on Theme Forest. Have any of you tried it? What are your results.

3) I need a better name for it. Suggestions?

Best viewed in Safari or Chrome, although it works in FF and IE7&8

TO DO:

1. Make the search ajaxed

2. Optimize javascript, images, css for size.

3. Backend options. Admin can change background image/color.

(any of your suggestions)

Saw that, but didn't because on my computer I don't use magnification. It's kind of annoying. Will do if everybody agrees I'm wrong.

I also don't like magnification. But I'm on windows...

I don't see the point in moving the things if they just move back to their original position if you go to another page.

So I'll take that as one vote for 'normal' positioning.

edit: switched words fixed for normal so as to not confuse anyone.

Just use cookies to keep the positioning.

It's trippy having two docks. I have hiding on, so one overlays over the other. Funny. :P

On another note, the text is illegible (vista ff3.5) specifically the paragraph text (I can read the headings)

Illegible as in too light? Font is Myraid Pro. Can switch to Helvetica Neue I suppose.

All of the text is virtually unreadable for me. FF3.5 (or whatever the latest build is).

P.S. who the hell makes attachment limit only 200kb?

You know, I've never had a problem with the size limitation...

host it somewhere - 200kb is quite generous considering it's been placed here on the DT server.

200kb is peanuts. Server space is infinitely cheap these days. Anyway, back to the topic. The picture I attached illustrates how unreadable the text is on FF3.5 on Windows.
