What do you think of this other logo?
In spite of the compliments and suggestions I've got on this forum on my previous logo that helped me a lot towards improving it, my "dearest" client/friend didn't like it. So, as I am stubborn, I've made a new one, and I hope you're willing to help me once again. I've made a little purse out of her initials that bears her name on it. Maybe it's too bold an idea for such an inexperienced (none at all) designer (no designer) like me. Yet I'm still waiting for your feedback in order to improve it. PS.: I'd like to apoligize if my english is too messed up, but I'm a little sleepy and I'm just writting as the words come, no dictionary checking. I'll try to be more carefull next time. Thanks a lot. |

Thank you for your opinion. Well, I used these colours because they're the main (the only in fact) colours of the page's scheme. Ok, I'll think of a way to change it, but it's too simple just to change the colours. Doesn't anyone have comments about the form and other aspects? Or is it good tha way it is? Thanks a lot. |

Yes, I liked the other logo better too. Apart from that, though it's not very "feminine", is it well executed ? I mean, given the proposition of it being a small purse, is it good enough being a simple "innuendo" (is this right?) or should it be more incisively like a purse, I mean, more than an allusion? I'm sorry if I couldn't make myself clear enough. Thanks a lot. EDIT : I'll post a B/W version later. Edit: Just to let you know, I gave up this logo so I won't post the b/w version. It's useless. I'll make another one instead. I didn't want to post another reply to avoid this thread going to the top again. Thank you all for the tips. Last edited by Igor Rizzo : 01-09-2004 at 10:59. |

Hmmm. The other one was better, because it looked like the logos of similar brands. I didn't recognize a purse here. Why, didn't Anna like the old one herself? -= In theory, theory should work in practice. =-

dorian : " i would expect the circle to be in the middle horizontally." Really? Why? I don't get it... Jay-NL : "I didn't recognize a purse here." The circle is meant to be the purse's handle. "Why, didn't Anna like the old one herself?" Yeah, she said : "It's pretty, but I think it's a bit too much". |

You can have one of these for free if you get desperate [note to self] spend more time on paid work instead of fucking about with shit logos [/note to self] 1. The face is made from the first and last 'a' of her name. 2 and 3. The symbol thingy is a butterfly made from the four a's of her name. 4 and 5. Don't think they need explaining? If you/she should want to use any of them let me know and I'll give you the .psd |

It seems to me it's in the middle. Are you sure it's not? I have to admit I haven't bothered with that. I've just used the Fireworks "Align" script. And I'm pretty sure Anna is heterossexual. And yes, she's cheerful (if you used that other "gay" definition) . If this has another meaning, I don't get it, I never understand sarcasm. |

You've marked the center of the circle rather than the center of the image. |
