new layout
hello i just finished my design for the http://avant-avant.net portal which includes a few of my sites. i need a cynical critic of it. 1-i've used 3 i-frame tags for each sections. i'm planning to embeed php so i figured out it would be easier to sort threw this way. right or wrong? 2-i have a random background thing. tacky? bandwith waste? 3-this is the first time i've bothered using a css file. its much easier but should i be including more stuff in the css and less html spec.? 4-i've tested the site on IE for mac, the least compatible browser. please tell me if the site fucks up or implodes with your browser. 5-lastly, anyone know a good and very very very basic php script for mailing lists? --------------------------------

It's genuinely cool. Simple, but nice. It works fine, except the background as noted. There's no real need for Iframes here I think. At least not if you can dynamically generate the whole index page. The input text box & button don't look like they're interactive. Use a border for the text box. And maybe some flashy colours would help too. -= In theory, theory should work in practice. =-
