Ellis Designs, A Great Design For A Hosting And Design Company
I just thought i would show off a bit off my work which is a small company called Ellis Designs, http://www.ellisdesigns.co.uk which i think is a great achievement for me as i am only 15, so can someone give me some feedback on this site, and what do you think of the the hosting prices? Thanks |

the top area and nav is alright, if a little cliched.. Everything below it needs re-working though, as I't just too much text all bunched together - hurt my eyes trying to read it.. Saying that, good work considering you'r 15 - at that age, I was too busy trying to make bongs out toilet rolls to do anything mildly constructive |

well its ok but some things u should work on: the gradient colours dont blend well (the orange and gray) the titles orange and yellow colours are very "dirty" looking, is that in shadow u used? too much text makes me borred and finally the scrollbar is too light all in all its a pretty nice design my friend |

nice to see you're modest! seems to run ok in safari. definately need something to liven up the content a bit though. obviously images would be nice but even if you just used a colour for the titles or something it may break it up a bit. congrats on getting a site up and running when you're 15. very impressive! ::: TC Magazine :::

Thanks for all that good advice, i haven't yet tested in other browsers apart from Internet Explorer. Too be helpful can you send me a screen shot of the browser in safari, firefox and any other browsers you can get ur hands on. You can email these screen shots to site@ellisdesigns.co.uk or just simply post them on this forum. Anyway thanks for the feedback so far. |

Just a suggestion, but you really want to have as many browsers available on your system as possible. Given that you're running IE i'll assume it's Windows you're running (god I hope it's not IE Mac..) - so that means you should be off downloading and installing Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape, Lynx and perhaps previous versions of IE (5.0, 5.5) which can run alongside v6. That way, you can test cross-browser without relying on screenshots from other people.. for Mac screenshots there are a few online services such as danvine and browsercam. |
