Hmmm not for me, looks art-deco. Unless you are printing pure text in your portfolio I'd drop the quotation marks, they dont mean anything.

I remember falling down this trap ages ago, wanting to frame it in something lovely. But no, it's about the work, so let the work do the talking.

For me I'd just have it being totally neutral, just nice bit of consistent type describing it where appropriate.

For a frame it's pretty, well, "framey" - that's about all you can say. Try building your portfolio around your work, rather than the other way round.

What sort of works are you going to be placing into your portfolio anyway? Try and choose something which complements your style.
