Advise on New Business Cards

I am about to send off for a couple 1000 business cards. Before I did that, I wanted to post my business card publicly and get some feedback on it.

They will be double sided, matte finish. All feedback, positive or negative is appreciated.

Nice, looks very good, but one suggestion, change the height of the logo to the height of all the words(or vice-versa).
So the logo and all the text are the same height.

You mean make the logo smaller so the top and bottom of the logo and the text is parallel?

I am not sure if I want to make the logo smaller, that might hurt my branding.

In design it's best to make as much change as possible in order to get what looks best, if you don't try it out you won't know if it's better, i'm not saying you should take my suggestion and that's final, but try it out and see how it looks.

It's good the way it is, but it could be better

It might be helpful to post the reverse side in a context that provides contrast.

What giraffe said, and I wouldn't have web addresses or email addresses with any caps in them at all.

I don't agree with fear's suggestion of positioning at least currently as it might end up far too high. But the logo being a little smaller couldn't hurt it, giving something comfortable space to breathe is as much part of a quality design as anything else, and having the logo as big as possible is a terrible viewpoint to have about your own branding to be honest.

"hurt your branding" my goodness, go and watch Make My Logo Bigger Cream stat.

And if you're getting that many printed, get a couple of proofs done for gods sake.

First of all, that site is awesome haha. Next, the have the logo as big as possible, I never said anything like that. I mean hell the logo will be the size of a nickel already when it is being printed on a business card. I am playing around with the logo size, but make it smaller doesn't make a bit of difference on the design. It is really unnoticeable.

As for the URL's without caps, I will probably take that advise. I debated over that when I was drawing up the design.

Thanks for the feedback.

I consider the logo in that context to be the lockup of the text name and the logo/icon. I meant bring them down together, if you don't relook at the whole identity as suggested in the other thread.

Though the type sitting with the logo could stand to be a notch smaller in relationship to the circles too. Have attached what I meant.

I like the first upload. I was thinking you all were saying make the logo smaller but leave the text as is. I like it overall smaller. I will play around with that idea more.

Where did I say anything about positioning?

Sorry I think I misread this to mean move the height to be in line with the text on the reverse of the card. You and him were both talking about the logo and text as if they were separate things, I was considering the logo to be the icon + text.

I don't really like the logo at all, but anyway...

The colors aren't really working for me, maybe it will look different when printed, but it's all too de-saturated at the moment, or maybe if the background was a darker grey it would be fine.

Something like that but rethink the dots all together anyway.

Thanks for the suggestion, I do like the darker color. As for the icon, that goes unchanged. It is my logo and most people very much like it.

The most people are my friends, family, coworkers, other sites. You know I have gotten feedback from other places other than just here.

Actually you did ask for advice on your logo in the other thread.
