surely the logo is part of your business card?

No-one expects you to change it, good on you for sticking your ground, but when asking for advice, expect people to criticise everything.

And even if all these comments have only brought about a slight doubt that your logo might need reworking, everyones job here is done

No one expects him to change it? Why not? It's horrible.

because in the end, its his business, you just expect when he asks for criticism he at leasts accepts it, whether he uses the advice isn't as important (in my opinion)

might want to fix that blurry bit first, otherwise no one can contact you, rendering the card useless

Thanks, I am going to make some changes on it but the overall design will be the same.

Dude, feedback is feedback. Everyone has posted pretty good advice for you. If you don't want their feedback stop posting your work.

OK, I made some changes based on your feedback. I decided to take the advice and make the logo a bit smaller. I also took the advice to use a darker background on the front.

As for the back, I played with ideas of how to keep the simple feel, but lose the empty no design feel. This is what I came up with. The color bars are a direct element from the site they are associated with (Atlanta Web Design and Development | Collective Core | Graphics Design and Search Engine Optimization). Let me know your thoughts.

Also added a black border on the back just for easy viewing on white backgrounds, this will not be on the actual business cards.

Who suggested it needed more content on the reverse? I don't like the bars personally, needlessly clutters things up, does just look like a lack of confidence in the design, must fill white space!

I agree with you, I prefer the simple white background. I added the color bars as an idea, but I am not thinking I will keep it. I like it without the color bars. Also, having a lot of white space on a card is very useful when it comes to making notes about people.

Not sure about having a different font on the back. Seems odd.
