What do you think of this logo?

What do you think of this logo? Any suggestions and comments are welcome. It's intended to replace the ugly one at www.idest.pop.com.br/shot1_3.png .

Thank you very much

yes, i like it better! nice Deco feel to it!
might need a couple of tweaks:

- the way the n's touch each other... maybe more space between the curve othe lower n? (manually move up the right end of the the above n?)
- the name Anna Maia doesn't really read well on such pale background. either make it bigger or swap with a less condensed typeface...

something wrong with the n's and the orange/peach color isn't the best choice.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I know what you mean about the difficulty to read the name on this orange/peach background. However, I can't touch the color scheme because my client liked it a lot and is using the same scheme for her printed catalogue. I'm really stuck with this problem and can't figure a solution other than adding outlines - which I have tried before but it didn't please me. Can you give any more tips?

Thank you very much.

maybe instead of using white color for the logo, use a darker version of the peachy color - that should make it more visible.

That's a whole lot nicer than the first one.

I'd say redraw the n's to smooth the tops so the top of the logo flows better, reduce the character spacing on the 'anna maia' a little, center it and lift it a few pixels to sit closer to the bottom of the A's and within the tails.

It's starting to look like two elephant heads now but that's probably just a flashback to my acid phase

Yeah the n's are ugly (they shouln't stick out at the top), but overall it's much much better. Looks really Italian (a compliment)

As for readability: especially on an El Cheapo LCD it's crap (too pale). Try some outer glow or stroke effects on the whole thing. Not too much, probably in the same peachey colour, but darker.

Also, what seen.to said about the name spacing is true. Reduce spacing and move it a little to the right. Make it look symmetrical.

Another thing: when using it somewhere, make sure that there is enough space around it - because it's all frilly. Compare "DIESEL" to "cK" logos, and you'll see what I mean (where is the ck site anyway??)

Thank you all of those that gave me suggestions and compliments. I have to say that I've tried follow a little of each tip, but without changing it much. That's what I've done:

- Added more space between the two n's
- Aligned the top n curve with the right a curve
- Added dark-peachy outlines

I have to admit that all you have a keen eye, and now it's easier to read. Thank you very much. Altough I recognize everybody's here skill, I couldn't reduce the name spacing. I like it a little broad. And about it looking crap on a El Cheapo LCD, I think I can imagine what you mean (although I've only got an El Cheapo Cathode Ray Tube Monitor), but I didn't go with the glow or stroke ideas because I want to have the logo as clean as I can.

Thank you all again.
