My crapass portfolio

It's temporary until I build up some decent work.
But here it is nonetheless.

I played StarCraft for almost 6 years taking brief hiatuses to pretend like I was a normal teen.

Regardless, I maintained several clan websites, and people continuously complimented me on my designs. Nice!

But as a result of playing video games all night and sleeping all day, my grades plummeted. And my mother started grounding me.

…etc…

I guess you're aiming for quirky, but that falls pretty flat for me.

Come across as a complete nerd (and I'm saying that as a self-confessed geek).

Agreed with Cam

ditch the non design/web related "about me" content, give a brief couple sentences about who you are, where you came from, spend the rest of your time talking about what design means to you,

no one cares that you used to play star craft, everyone did at one point.

keep it relevant, and cut its length in half, no ones going to read that

close up your letter spacing and make your line length about 50px shorter.

add some visual interest, maybe some photos to accompany the text.

get rid of those three random swoosh thing behind the logo.

dont mind the text at least an employer can see that their dealing with a human being...does come over a bit immature though

just my 2 cents

Agree with fasterthanlight, cut the size down by around half.

Also, if you insist on telling the story, which would probably put off potential clients, then don't put it as the default homepage. Put your portfolio up for that, or something along those lines.

It looks like a programmers portfolio.

There's not enough visual interest on the homepage, just a big block of text.

You should have a work sample on there somewhere, and I'd use a different font. The one your using looks messy.
