Logo
Is this any good? here was the brief We are looking for a logo to represent an innovative new environmental certification program developed for the printing industry to be known as Sustainable Green Print. The master logo will be the marketing branding. Four breakout versions of the master logo are required to represent the certification levels companies can achieve. Each version must represent the master logo brand but readily identify the level of achievement. A simple illustrative example is a four leaf clover, each level of achievement could be represented by individual leaves – level 1 = 1 leaf, level 2 =2 leaves and so forth. (This is not a preference, just an example). The intent of the branding is twofold. 1. To encourage participation by printing companies in a certification program which promotes, recognises and rewards their commitment to environmental sustainability. As successful participation highlights the company’s social responsibility and commitment, they will be allowed to use the logo as marketing collateral for their business illustrating compliance to the identified level. 2. To provide a marketable and readily recognisable logo for print customers ranging from corporate through to government that helps them to identify print companies who have a demonstrated commitment to environmental sustainability and have achieved audit certification at one of the stated and recognisable levels. The breakout levels can be differentiated with colour and or design elements but must identify the participation level. A consideration is that a certification date will be included with the logo when being used as a certification tool. The logos must be suitable for reproduction on a range of mediums in a range of sizes including stationery, websites and packaging. They should also be adaptable for mono use. The levels and a brief explanation of what they are follow: Level 1 Entry level – mainly SME. Level 2 Advanced version of Level 1. Level 3 This level positions a company to qualify for international standard certification and compliance – ISO 14001-2004. Level 4 World’s best practice in environmental management. Mainly suited to very large companies. be brutal with me. i really want to get better at logo design! |

I like it. It says green and sustainable to me, but the only thing that worries me is the low shiny / web 2.0 effect you've given to it. Does it need this? Get rid of that and I think it'll be spot on. |

I'd use outlines instead of fading the leaves. Not gone on the style you've used. Personal preference, but I'd have gone for solid colours instead of the gradients. Choice of font could be better and needs working. I'm sure some of the type pros here can be more helpful on that front. But a nice idea overall. |
