I'm going to sound like a moaner now, but this competition is more a Photoshop (or other app that can deal with layers) competition. I normally use Illustrator to make something for the comps. I like the competition idea and I'm not saying I won't be entering, but I think the competition should not force people down one avenue with regards to application.

You moaning jessie, you can still use illustrator, copy and paste between the two or use smart objects in photoshop

I was afraid people would see me as a moaning jessie but it was more to highlight that the competition is not as open as it usually is. People must now download a PSD template and base their design on that. Not everyone will have Photoshop or GIMP. It worked better with a completely blank canvas. Please don't bite my head off for pointing this out.

To be fair, this is a designers forum so it's more than likely they will be able to open a layered document. If they can't then yes, they may be new to the game but you wouldn't win a game of football without a ball.

That probably makes no sense but in my head everything is hunky dory.

There is suppose to be another poster like this, just the other way around for the day version of the sneaker.

Im pretty happy with my sneaker design, though I wouldnt wear it myself.

EDIT: spelling mistake in poster.
