IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE THOSE SORT OF LIMITS FOR ADVERTISING ON THE WEB? (sorry bout the caps) The banners I am working on have size limits of 20k and 30k for the larger ones. Its a bit of a mare as I'd love to be able to animate them as much as yours. |

The larger the publisher - the tighter the file size. I produce ads all the time for some of these sites and they range from 30kb - 35kb for standard advertising units. It's all about page load time / processor impact etc - not really anything to do with bandwidth cos they don't serve the ads. If I build a rich media ad the initial load to the page has to be 30k - then you can load in additional content. |

I feel your pain. A lot of my work is flash banner design and half of my time is spent getting it below 40KB. Increase the limits!! Rich media limits are fine as they are hosted away from the banner. decent web hosting - www.balue.com

The streaming ones I've been working on have a cap of 800KB. User still has to download it at the end of the day. 4MB would be bliss. decent web hosting - www.balue.com
