posted this in help yesterday, didnt get much attention.

I designed this a while a go The Grove Music Studios

and im not pleased with it all.

I'm doing a re design, I feel I need to make it more musicy, any ideas?

He wanted it to be like his business card which is purely black and white. only i didn't want it to be boring and pre-historic like the last one i did!

patience, dear boy ...

there's really no sense that its a music studio .... adding a couple of speakers didn't really help ...

mixing desks, graphic equalisers, keyboards, buttons and switches are more illustrative of studios ...

you got plenty of background space in the masthead and on the page to drop a few images in ...

I agree it needs more images. but if he wants it simple like his business card i didn't want to be dropping images everywhere, if you know what i mean.

but ill see what more i can do!

Don't like effect on the tabs and the layout could be a little tighter. And why is there 2 different types of logo?

I like the one with the image in the body. I'd add some color and I don' tlike the tabs.

the last one is the best.

the footer is very heavy though. a bit less emphasis would be enough.

Thanks! Yeh he wants it just like his business card which is black and white. I may consider adding some colour to the images within the content. I agree the layout needs to be a bit tighter. Thanks for the feedback!

the reason there is 2 is because I don't like there logo, but they still want it there, i may just place it in the header. i dunno

Tread carefully there. They may love their logo to bits and may not appreciate somone telling them it's shite.
