General comments & criticism
I've recently completed a layout for a friend's game website lms-rpg.com and would just like general comments and criticism. its not massively profetional but take alook: lms-rpg.com As it requires registration, and i dont imagine the site to be of interest to many people here :P i will post some screenshots; http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/3574/lms1lj8.jpg http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/6624/lms2dw7.jpg http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/3056/lms3ll7.jpg My thoughts are as follows. Firstly i do not like the index and plan to redo it from scratch shortly. The site owner would really like me to stick to using frames, it was one of the few things he briefed me on, so changing that is pretty much out of the question. The main problem i find with the 'logged in' part of the site is that there is a 'mass of information' especially the navigation menu to the left. If anybody has any ideas for the nav menu i would love to hear them! Also the site has a mafia/gangster theme so any suggestions how i could add that into the layout? How can i add interest to the site other than content? How can i touch up the layout? I would love to hear from you! Thanks, -Robison p.s. I understand some people will see a childish or immature side to the site but thats fine as i am only a teen myself and that is the intended audience for the site! Uh, why the hell would he want frames? Tell him frames are not good and you won't do them. I would personally flat out refuse to do a site for ANYONE who wanted frames, it shows they know nothing about web design. As for the design and colors, I like it. Nice job if you do away with the frames. |
