I don't like it, it's broken in Opera (Opera browser: Home page)

I wish it had clients and get in touch underneath always, maybe just faded out.

Just about all the body text needs more leading.

Also, you need space between the Congratulations header and the text below and the edge of the box.

I agree with wheedwacker's comments above.
Although I don't dislike the design I think it looks a lot like a copy of Wake Interactive.
You've even got the three text boxes in the footer!

Looks, nice, I like it! I agree with weedwacker, there should labels under the icons. People won't be able to guess what they mean, otherwise.

Oh and by the way, there are stray spaces in the text area on the contact page.

ticks most of the boxes, it's just boring and unoriginal i'm afraid.

I know the boxes look like the Wake website, that's because i really like them
But I don't think it looks a lot like that website to be honest..

About the labels underneath the icons, I used rollovers instead, you guys think that's not obvious enough, that their mouse won't come near the icons?

Three columns in the footer is quite popular, not just at Wake Interactive.

I don't like the mystery meat navigation at the top. I would prefer if you had 'clients' and 'get in touch' as a constant, faded out as wheedwacker suggests.

The 3 boxes at the bottom could do with bigger title text.

In your contact page, the phrase 'What do you wanna talk about?' doesn't sound very professional. I understand you probably want to project a laid back, friendly image but I personally think 'wanna' is a bit too much.

I like the way your portfolio is shown on the site with large images. Eyecatching and easy to understand.

The overall site looks good and the code is fine. You've just got a few warnings regarding your colours in the stylesheet: W3C CSS Validator results for http://www.thewebhype.com/ (CSS level 2.1)

Besides what's been mentioned, I'd say it looks just too wordy for a homepage.

I like your design a lot, but the scale of how many words I would have to read makes me cringe.

You need to say things more succinctly.

Someone might come to your page and go scanning for your portfolio/clients. If they can't see where to click immediately, you run the risk of them thinking its further down the page. This all takes time and increases the likelyhood of them pressing the back button. And even then I don't think they would spend time learning what your icons mean. Icons are great for applications that a user uses alot, but not for websites that are accessed only sporadically, even with the rollovers - there simply isn't time for the user to remember what icon does what...

I don't think it would greatly affect the design to have the labels showing - without the text bubble of course!

I dig it.

The only thing I think I like is the icon navigation. i think it will look better (cleaner) with a text nav up there.

ok, so we all agree that it would look better if:
+ my navigation would be a little bit cleaner w/ rollovers but already with the text bubble underneath it

+ i had sort of like a bloggy homepage and would just use my about page as my about page.

correct me if i'm wrong
