Hi i'm new on this forum and would like to hear critiques and opinion regarding my web portfolio. It's still in early stage like 60% done and still working on it. Please be honest but in a kind manner haha..

Thanks in advance!

lol.. Sorry guys, a bit in a hurry. Didn't also know you need to have 15 post before you can post a link here so just replace the [dot] with an actual dot.

I feel trapped by the small viewing space for the content with the scroll bars.

Very clean, and good colours, but you could easily expand your window so as to lose the scrollbars.

yeah its visually nice design, but your not really making the most of the screen real estate.

plus, the portfolio page for me isnt working... think its a lightbox.js problem.

good luck

Hmmm.. I'll try to experiment later when i get home maybe give it a wider width and a fluid height to avoid the scrollbars. We will see what,s going to be the outcome.

Later..

It's not terrible but it's not very original either. I would get rid of the lines between the words, they don't add anything to the site and make it look messy. The typography could use a little work too. It's very plain and uninspiring and overall you should make the content container bigger.

My Portfolio (redesign)

guys, i did a major overhaul and would like your opinion if it's better than the previous one. i tried redesigning the old one but quite didn't like the outcome of it so i totally ditch the idea and come up with this. Yeah, it looks basic.. I just want it clean and simple.

Did you need another thread for this?

Sorry, don't like the site, main content area too wide, resulting in line lengths that are way too long for good readability.

Horrid typeface choice for navigation, not too keen on the header or logo either.

No worries, you can easily improve the look of your site with a bit more thought/research given to it, good luck.

Andrew, I like the new version more. But it needs some work.

Work on the navigation, right now theres too much space between items. You can add something between nav items to counter that. Perhaps change that font too?

With the content, try and match up the white space on either side. Right now theres too much space before the footer and not enough after the header graphic.

Should look great with some tweaks.
