The header image could be good by itself, but overlaying scripty and serif font like that over top kills legibility.

I like your background pattern, but everything under the header needs work.

(Try not to center EVERYTHING, it looks like one of those old Geocities or Angelfire sites.)

Lose the background pattern, your header image will pop out more if it was on simple black. Typography is un-necessarily complicated. I don't like your choice of script sans serif, script serif combo.

Don't center stuff, it looks tacky. Consider using some real text there, not everything as images.

I quite like your header. Its pretty nice. On the other hand, your use of fonts isnt so great.

Your typography wasn't great to begin with but it's worse now. You should have kept the serif fonts you had in your first post, even if they weren't perfect. Those sans-serif ones look totallly out of place.

Also I'd lose the whole "art of mine" thing. It doesn't look right and it doesn't sound right. It may well be grammatically correct but not out of context. It just sounds weird when you say it. I don't think you really need any of the suffixes you've put on your nav. They're just kind of annoying.

The site's still pretty good though, just needs a bit of work.

Someone above me wrote that you should ditch the background... I disagree, I like subtle backgrounds such as sometimes because it gives depth and a little texture. If you like it, keep it, I say! Because something like a simply background is really just a matter of preference.

It's an over abused pattern. Keeping it simple would make his image pop, instead of diluting his style. Sigh, but what do I know.

I think the header looks like a poor use of the pen tool. Typo could use work. BG could be a bit more subtle. And personally, I don't like anti-aliasing text on browsers. Everything else looks great

thx for the comments
i made some changes to the typography, so that the script isnt so big anymore compared to the serif. and the background pattern more subtle

@mr.kite
i tried it without the suffixes and it just looked dull , any ideas?

I'm not sure. You could try running with the third person thing and have "aboutcixxy" and "artofcixxy" etc. Or you could make some of them prefixes like, "myart"; although that might look a little weird.

I feel like I should be offering something more constructive since I criticised it but thats all I can think of right now; Sorry. The majority didn't seem to mind the suffixes, though, so maybe I'm wrong and you should just keep them in.

Fonts are looking better now. Good work. Header gets nicer everytime I see it. Can't wait to see some content.
