There's quite a few things wrong... but I can't be bothered to list them (sorry!) so I'm just going to pick up on one of them:
- The rollover in the navigation menu is too subtle - make it more drastic!!

I prefer my salsa more when the bottle doesn't explode actually. The sense the average person would get is: This glass is so fragile, it will literally shatter when resting on a flat surface. Replace this with a static picture for more stability.

There's a few things wrong, so I'll list a few quick ones:
  • The Flash animation definitely has to go.
  • Hover links should not change size or go to italic if they're only activated by the text. This creates blind spots when the mouse rolls over the text. Stick to just yellow as a hover effect.
  • As mentioned above, the Fav. icon needs to be replaced.
  • The introductory paragraph needs a re-write.
  • On the recipes page, the choices should be under the instructions, not to the left of it.
  • The menu's color boxes should be the links, not just the text found on them.
  • The 'Contact Us' link from the 'Recipes' page is broken.
  • The overall design needs some work and eye candy.
  • Do you really need to state "This website is for educational purposes only", especially on a website product?

The breaking animation is awful and very annoying very quickly.
Also, I was expecting a spanish dancing site and was presented with a jar of sauce. Couldn't you do something more with something a bit less dull that a jar of sauce, you need to spice it up a bit if you can forgive the pun.

Doms is right that animation has got to go it has no razzmatazz (pun intended lol).

If you do want some animation I would suggest mocking up a simple storyboard of how the animation will progress and look further into Salsa research a bit more have look at the big brand websites, etc.

When I think Salsa I have to agree with Doms I was expecting a Spanish dancing website or something I would use this link because I think many people will word associate Salsa with dancing I would go along of the longs of some good illustrations of dancers or something to do with Salsa introducing the jar but nicely photographed/ photoshopped for that razzmatazz effect.

The label on the jar photographed on the kitchen-worktop just doesn't work it won't amaze peeprs or even register imo.
