The Miele Guide
This is the online counterpart for what is going to try to be the most authoritative food guide in Asia. It will be used in May for voting and judging purposes. Concept is ultra simplicity. The Miele Guide More is yet to come as we going into voting phase in May. The whole is going to filled with Ajax juice, sensibly of course! |

Why do you need ANY credit card digits to register to vote on the site? Nik is: http://www.nikdaum.com

Because Visa is a sponsor, and only Visa card holders (note: not credit card holders) can vote for the top restauarants. Why you should have to hand part of your credit card number to vote for a restaurant is beyond me. It's hard to think of a term to describe it other than utter fucking bullshit. What a joke. I visit a site sponsored by Visa and come away disliking Visa 100 times more than before I visited. Brilliant PR. |

Looks nice and clean. Kudos on that aspect. On the other hand, I would throw in some pictures just to liven it up a bit... Doesn't really convey what the site is about right off the bat. Good job though. I especially like the blog styling. |

Well it's brand politics and also to ensure votes come from the financially-empowered. Something like "the only card accepted at the Beijing Olympics" kind of thing. The first 6 digits of the card number is for authentication-purposes only. Since there are Visa and Miele sponsoring, people are willing to give more trust. Thanks for the feedback though, it's funny. XD |
