The new one is definitely better than # 1. It's till very unfinished I'm guessing.

I dislike the logo, and also it looks jammed in there at the top.
The box of reverse text for "ADAM GRIFFITHS" is out of place compared to all the other text, but not in a "oh that stands out nicely" way, but rather a "what's that doing there" kind of way.

Yea it isn't a finished mock-up. Basically the smaller boxes will be repeated down the page, each time with a different image and text etc etc.

I'll have a place with the box behind my name and the placement of the logo.

A step up for sure, but still needs work, here's some advice:

- Give the type some more line-height
- Not a fan of colour?
- Images that may be on the right, should add up to the width of the content
- Basically you need to work to a grid, gridness below:

- header needs to line up to something
- images should align, as well as text
- all type whether headers, copy or footers should fit to something
- my advice is to have a left column for images, and a right one for text, that line up width wise.

Ok moof that wasn't very helpful. Different people have different opinions of what is good and what isn't.

I am a developer, and am trying to design a website. So far I don't think it's too bad. But this is why I ask for comments to make it better.
