I find it helps me to assess my own designs with a more critical eye if I leave them for a week at a time without even looking at them.

I've not looked at this one for longer than that now, and I'm still not sure if it's working for me... is it "too blue"? Is the blue too bright?

Any criticism welcomed... please be ruthless!

I like the header a lot, looks like a quality vector with good colour usage but the search bar doesn't fit too well, and below, where the main content is - it looks like you've given up design, the content and footer look bog standardly rubbish.

I'd think about the main content. a lot.

I think everything under the nav is squished together. Try adding some whitespace

Looks like you spent a lot of time on the header/nav (12345) and didn't even think about how to present the actual content of the page.

Same as what has been mentioned above.

For me (and this is just my opinion) I didn't like that particular shade of blue. I find that it's a little bright and since their is white in the header as well the header looks a tad bright. . . or maybe it's the circles around that little guy's head.

I would modify the colors so their is more contrast between dark and light.

Besides that the header rocks.
