WS - Take two

Second take on the website I am working on. Feels liberating working with notepad/CSS directly but the website is not still up so there is no link yet, only a screenshot. Still, I feel like the design is missing something or maybe a little overdone. What do you guys think ?? Thanks..

looks fine, however, I personally find that the blue hover state is a bit awkward as theres no other vivid color on the page.

I'm not convinced about the exclamation marks on the following line:

"Serving San Deigo since 2005 !!"

To me it comes across as amateurish and just, well, looks wrong.

thanks guys. i agree, the blue does stand out too much, i already changed it in the new version. the logo is originally from the go media arsenal pack, they have these generic signs and symbols you can edit yourself, i just played around with one of them in photoshop until i came up with this. and the exclamation marks.. lol. well, i thought they could make things look a little fresh. looking back now, maybe they arent very professional looking. i might take them off for the next version. i go through 5 or 6 until i reach something i finally like.

heres an updated screenshot, they wanted to go back to the clean white look i showed them first and they kind of force-fed those top buttons into the design, i wanted to keep it more simple. it looks kind of boring and generic right now, but i guess its what the client likes not what i like that matters..
