wild river logo

A couple of quick ideas of a logo for a new freelancey type thing me and a pal are mulling over. Print based stuff and all that jazz.

http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l7...1/ideas1-1.jpg

My mate wants to go down the more literal route with bull reeds for "I's" etc etc but im not a fan(I know there is a river shape in 1). I like to keep things simple.

Either of these ideas worth continuing or not?

Thanks in advance

I like the river idea but it seems a bit large to me (the circle with the river)

The second I like the best, maybe bring the black box in a bit so there is not so much black space.

I like the second best too. However, i think you should consider the W as a single letter and place it completely in the centre of the black box. Good job though!

The 1st is nice... but as said perhaps make the circle smaller... and also try giving it some sort of alignment horizontally with the text as at the moment it's just off centre.

I'd say the second one, using a more cursive font, which perhaps could become synonymous with the river image.

Don't think you need to invert it out of a box, that could lead to problems incorporating it later. Reverse it back out, I say.

I think I prefer the first one. The second one is also nice but, I can't get passed that it's reminding me of something.
