Website finally up

well, I have had this website for about 3 years now. I used to be a full time freelance website designer, and i used it as my showcase. I have since joined a firm and work as a freelancer on the side. The site was no longer needed, so I have had plans to turn it into a web designers directory. basically want feedback and for all you designers, programmers, artists, to signup or sign up somebody you know. It's Free so list your services damn it.

Feedback greatly appreciated. gracias

Massive overkill with the Google Ads.

Looks like a parked domain more than a website.

I think you should cut down on the ads and focus on the directory aspect.

I think if you remove the ads and add a little blurb explaining what the site does things will be more clearer.

This thread feels like spam. 18 posts.

By all means prove me wrong.

not spam, has nothing to do with posts. I wouldn't matter if I had 45,000 posts. I would be asking for you to sign up for Free to promote your service, and really i could give a shit if you click on an ad or not.

Really so the 15 posts of spam through random forums on long dead threads contributing nothing useful was really nothing to do with the fact you wanted to post this as a live link then.

Why does your avatar say .com and the domain be .org?

Given how insanely inappropriate this domain name is for a directory of this nature, why use it at all? Domain names are dirt cheap, you could buy something more appropriate, or use this name for a blog or something... something you know, people will actually want to use or visit?

There are far too many adverts - and it's annoying when a page is started with adverts and not content. If you REALLY couldn't give a sh** about us clicking on the ads then were are there so many... starting a website out of the blue and just expecting people to click on the ads is ridiculous ... why not wait until you actually have a popular website and then start selling ads that you know people will click on!

Basically, it's the 'LETS-SPAM-A-FORUM-I-FOUND-ON-GOOGLE-AND-LINK-THEM-TO-MY-SITE-SO-THEY-WILL-CLICK-ON-THE-ADS-AND-I-WILL-MAKE-SHITLOADS-OF-MONEY"

It never works out like that ^__^
