Hey all, Well its been a long time since I joined and I just remembered this place so I thought I would come back and get back to being a member of the community. So I have this site call that had been up for almost a year and kinda looked like crap (I'll put it back up to compare) and we sunk a bunch on money into advertising and had moderate returns. We had a firm redesign the site and now that it is up traffic is increasing and I think it looks great. However I would like the input from this community as its the closest thing I know of to a Panel of Experts. So here it is, I would love any feed back I can get. Full-Time & Part-Time Jobs for the East Kootenay - EK Jobs Thanks in advance! -Lee |

Seems a bit cluttered with the big font. Might not look like that in a decent browser have to check when I get home. Have no firefox at work due to bloody administrative passwords etc. Jobs earn $ and WHY aare wayy off their tabs in safari. |

Wierd issue with Safari, they look fine in ie6/ie7, Firefox and Safari on all the machines I can get too... what build of Safari are you using? As for the big fonts our target market is 65+yr old business owners in a Golf community who had said with the prior design that they did not know what the site was for and left without buying. The copy has not changed and our conversion rate has increased drastically since we bumped the font size up. Thanks for the input... you have made me want to look into builds of browsers now. -Lee |

I'd use a bit more eye candy on the tabs at the top. Lose the text based links and go for imaged based ones with a nice font. I doubt you'll lose too much in SEO stakes with "Jobs" "Why?" and "Earn$" Maybe compress the whole top area height wise a bit more also. Think of people on lower resolutions. After a while people will most likely just skim to the job listings below and not want to be bothered too much with the blurb at the top. Otherwise, I like it. |

I agree with the tabs... and the SEO issue is not a big deal. I think when we get to that they will get selected/hover values and whatnot. In paying attention to our stats for the last year we have very, very few people who visit with low resolutions, however the header could use some slimming it is kinda fat. Hmm I have alot to ponder.... |

Just so you are aware, I'm on 1920 x 1200 and the top part takes up half of the browser window (default settings for my browser toolbars, etc). |
