Redesigning ALL the work I did at the beginning of the year. The idea behind it is that the work inside is writers responses to book covers I designed. The book covers were designed before the writing itself, therefore subverting the usual book cover thing. The cover itself is meant to represent the breaking/changing/subverting of a 'classic' book cover, also, kind of modernising it. hence the glitches. The cover will be screenprinted metallic gold onto quite a thick, dark blue cover - I want it to look orante and classic. ![]() |

Good idea Andy, I like it. I'd maybe do something else with the type. Stick with your theme, take something traditional or 'classic' and fuck it up. Maybe take a nice serif font and make it look sprayed on or something. edit: or something better than that. I have a signature

Thanks alot guys. And Meve, I'm definitely gonna play about with a serif. Maybe serif version of typeface for 'breaking traditions' and sans version of same typeface for 'books by covers.' Anybody know of any fonts that have both serif and sans versions? |
