You don't think a web design site should have a focal point?

Well my foot has a focal point and there's not much I can do to change that. If a site doesn't have a clear focal point your vision gets scattered and you don't know what to look at or for.

"Focal Point- the center of visual attention, often different from the physical center of the work"

Fine, I was wrong, every website should have a focal point. It was stupid of me to think otherwise.

So what should be a focal point of a web host?

Well focal points should be drawn to what is important, that's why web hosting plans generaly have adverts/banners for their own plans making up most of the page. Having 5-10 different content areas is kinda distracting.
