First off I think things are layed out nicely. I got information about how you work and what your prices are very very quickly.

My only concern is that things are very black and white. I would introduce more color then you have right now. Your header text could be another color and so could your links.

Besides that I can't really think of any other things to say ATM.

Just a minor point, but I've always thought it comes across as a little arrogant to refer to oneself as an expert ("We are a team of friendly web experts...")

I'm not suggesting for one moment that you are, especially since it's entirely possible you're not an English native speaker, but if it were me, I would change it to a less grandiose term.

I dont see any problem saying they are web experts. In the clients mind they should be. That is why they are giving them their business.

#Skinny, yes I was thinking to add more color... but I am not 100% sure of it yet

#Hunch, yes I am not a native english speaker, initially I wanted to be designers, programmers, etc but it looked a little unprofessional to me and tried to put all in one word... I thought "experts" was the most appropriate... can you suggest other term? what would you use if it was your web design agency?

#wheedwacker, thanks, you're right, I will "change" that

#Drewry, thanks

#hawken, the image I uploaded is 75% of original size, the actual font size is 14px Arial, except the side section... that is 13px I think...

#designneverdies, where? I am new to this forum, I mean this is my first thread, can you point a link?

Thanks to all, I am looking forward to read more of your thoughts on this

no no i'm just saying my heads playing tricks on me. De ja vu? it's probably just similar to the other thousands of posts that we get on here. Wasn't a comment on your design at all. I'm just going crazy and thought and share it with everybody. thats how we roll here.

I really like the scanned-in-page-from-a-magazine style.

Can't wait to see a less static, properly layed out version to see how it works.

Also, 75% of original size - why? Make it full size so we can gauge the font sizing properly.

what's with the 75% thing?

It looks decent, a bit too text-heavy maybe? Also I find it difficult to really focus on the interesting bits such as call to action statements etc. You'll have problems hyphenating words when you'll implement it.

I'm not so sure having your prices upfront (on the homepage) goes well with your "passion" for the work you produce statement, but it has more to do with being centred around pecuniary aspects of it.

The prices are there because "how much does it cost?" is one of the first questions people are asking... I wanted the page to be like a small FAQ section... I want people to know as much as possible about us before contacting... make them feel confident working with us...

What I tried to answer for them is: Who we are? what we do? and Why we are different?... What work we've done in the past? and How much will cost them?...

I have a small update... check it: Top-Notch Custom Web Site Design and Development Services

Please let me all of you know what you think... your feedback helps

I love your update, it looks really great.

One thing that kinda irked me was "contact us if you feel like it." As a general marketing rule; people like to be told what to do, for example, "Buy now!" or "reserve your copy today!" Rather than wording that so wishy-washy, be forceful:

"Check our portfolio to see how we have helped others, and be sure to contact us for your next project."

or just:

"Check our portfolio to see how we have helped others, and be sure to contact us."

Me too. I recognise the design and the 'percent size' thing. Weird.

Being a huge fan of simplicity, I love this layout. The user gets what he wants to know. Vry intutive. But I feel, it would be better to change the background color for the boxes holding the portfolio pic.

When I first saw this design it wasn't clear to me that this was a "design-agency-layout". In my opinion you can go two ways:

1. Make your design stand out to establish that you're a great designer
2. Make the content in such a way that it becomes clear of who you are and what you do

Not seeing number 1 though and I'm not sure about number 2. Is it lipsum content or something that you made, if you made it I personally would make it a lot bigger just to attract some eyes to that.

Furthermore it looks really tight. Hope you can use this feedback and not feel offended by it!

Thanks for your feedback

# Soup Of The Day - I think you're right, I will change that and as well I was thinking to add more "action" words... as other mentioned

# UndercoverGenie - nice username, I have a domainname "xhtmlgenie.com" I will be developing soon, as a psd-html slicing service... YES I love also simplicity, I see no point complicating the layout and distracting the visitor's eye from what's important... though I feel is a little too simple as other mentioned as well, but only a little as for the BG color of highlighted work boxes... would you use a different color? or rather just make it a little darker or lighter?

# Tim Nooteboom - I am not offended it might be a little truth in what you said... tough I am trying to go more in the "effective, user-centered WEB design" direction rather than "graphic "masterpiece" design", and "we" are a WEB Design & Development agency, we offer graphic & print design as secondary services... can you tell me why you were confused about that? could you suggest what should I change/add? I did not understood what you meant with "Number 1" and "Number 2"

Thanks for the great feedback... I want more

Looks pretty good. Like the background and the colours. Is this a template? I've not seen it before but people are saying tha t they have and come to think of it it does look rather templatish!? Am I wrong? Also, the logo looks templatish too... not that it doesn't look good - it does!
