redesign

Here is the first version of the redesign:

yet another one:
http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/8...erkolorbk4.jpg

I decided that the newspaperish look of the last design I made didn't really fit with the logo, so I switched to a more modern look.

Later, on the left, I may add thinks like subscribing to the blog feed, who we are hosted with, xhtml/css validation links, etc. (i.e. footer info)

In the upper right hand corner, when you put your mouse over design and development, it will change into the text "hire us"

This would be center aligned.

What do you think?

Here is an update, based on the changes you suggested:

I killed two birds with one stone by making the main content smaller, while keeping the same line height. This effectively made the line-height seem larger. It also made the font size of the text and the small headers the same size.
I changed the design&dev box into simple words at the side.
The footer is changed completely.

It's not bad, the type needs work though, why turn anti-aliasing off?

For the body, give it extra line-height, and change the subheaders, they're smaller than the text which makes no sense, that doesn't cascade well, personally I didn't even notice they were there. After you've given it the type treatment it should look good, I'd work on the footer too, it's floating nowhere. Align it to your grid on the left, and maybe just have a small copyright notice or symbol on the right to balance that, will look good though.

looks excellent, I agree with what brooks said, the headers are not very big. I think a "koloration" for the rollovers would be very cool.

i was going to use the same blue colors for rollovers, but thats a great idea instead. I'll do that. when you are on a page with a different color one I'll also change the color of the design&development part.

I turned anti-aliasing off because Firefox isn't showing anti-aliasing for text. How would you turn this on?

I agree with brooks on the footer, I'll work on that.

I'll experiment with some different line-heights after I fill it in with actual content, so I can see how it actually reads.

I'll play around with the subheaders.

Thanks for the feedback.

That's awesome.

Simple yet effective. The regular text font looks a little bit out of place IMO. but thats probably just me.

Overall, Nice Work.

I don't particularly like it, but other than the uneventful text i can't find fault to it.
