Flash Carousel - Improvements
I created this some time back and am looking to create a new version now. Here it is I've been thinking about this on and off for the a total of about 10 minutes and want some ideas as to how I could make this more unique than it is. So two Q's to you good Flash people out there; What do you think of this in it's current state? Any ideas for a new carousel? I can pretty much do anything thrown at me so don't limit your imagination... Nice one! |

I'm using the MX import feature to scale as it able to scale in terms of real time (seconds) rather than by frame rate. FR means that I'd have to fart about with optimum speed and all that crap. FYI FR for the movie is 30fps. One 2 frames in movie, preloader and the canvas - 100% AS driven. Anything less than 30 seems to just run tosh. Yeah I'd done others on the site with the left and right movement and depth control but wanted to make this one different. Any ideas on how I can make it less misleading d*d? |

That's what I've used mate, I'll play about with the easeIn feature. EaseOut is already enabled. If I can find an optimum then I'll look to create something quite different with this enabled de facto. Ta |

At the moment the reflection scales with the phone, might be nicer if there was some distance put between them as it scales to give an impression that they are actually moving in a 3d space have you looked into putting them in circle and using right and left to rotate the circle |

Yeah I did that in another carousel I did on the site...it runs a bit slow for my liking so I'm looking to speed that up when I get an opportunity. See that here Didn't want to repeat the loop if you know what I mean especially since there are so few items on the canvas. Thanks all for your thoughts...and your d*d, given something to think about...for my next version. |

I love the zap btw Okay so that carousel is great but, I think it should start moving when your mouse goes over it. And it doesnt, at least not for me. Also with something like that. I just think it should be easier to select what you are going for, you know? Like when I click on something that is overlayed, it stays overlayed, I think it should move to that point. Or maybe if you move your mouse over it. |

Thanks man, appreciate the comp, this is one place where I've come unstuck. I'm trying to work out how to do that. I don't think that I can do it with the way I've wrapped and closed my A/S. So I'll re-factor the whole thing and see if I can learn a new method - good point, didn't think of that. |
