very nice as usual, how are you planning to do the drop down with translucent gradient?

thanks d*d! good question I guess I'll go for a semi-transparent png bg, and a gif substitute for the lower browsers.... need to dig out some code on that one.

Holy crap! I remember finding the original TokyoCube a few years ago. Very cool site, and the original design was nice too. The redesign is good, though, the description header/paragraph should be aligned with the toys/fashion category header.

I like. It's interesting to see how tokyocube has evolved to only be a toy shop. Gotta go with what's working.

looks nice
only one complaint: the toys' shadows don't go in the same direction. Almost every one is different

thanks for the comments! we're launching a brand-new fashion section, hopefully in january, hence the site redesign, so I'll post back when it's done.

Very nice. Only minor complaint is that the nav looks like it might be a bit fiddly to use? The current site's good, but this looks better.

I agree with everyone else. Very nice. The only thing I see is that "Feedback" needs to be bumped to the right a bit to replicate the space used in the other areas of the nav such as "Categories."

Well done.

I'm sure we could fix this mess after a few jagermiesters

I would only justify the paragraphs, and maybe enlarge the menu font a little bit.
Otherwise, great!

I like the toad on TC. Kicks a$$...back to your Q though, I like it, I can't help but think that the vertical scroll onstate images are missing something - visual framework...can't put my finger on it.

great, thanks for all the feedback! got pulled onto another project so couldn't continue, but will take onboard the comments and finish it off in the new yr...might add a subtle illustration to the left side...hmm, not sure.

hawken, that jagermiester was evil, lol.......nonetheless, it's always a perfectly good solution to most things!

I've just been working on the framework (home, details) for this (feel free to comment on bugs you find, as I'm sure there'll be a few), and I was thinking of either adding a subtle watermark graphic to the left of the page, or leaving it super clean... any comments/suggestions?

hey all, I'm just testing with live data at the moment, and wanted to see if you guys spot any problems with the site before I push live.

everything works fine here, even in IE.

However the sliding flash box to the right is a bit annoying,

yeah, I need to tweak it so it slows down correctly on rollout in IE. In the firefox is behaves correctly, and should be less annoying
