Deciding between two styles of an ad

I made a mock ad for Tabard- a bug repellant.

I'm just curious if the word "itch" looks better in 2d or 3d.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Ivan

Well if you got the perspective right the 3D might look better than having non-dimensional type just stood there, but currently the 2D is in the lead because the 3D is just wrong.

3d could be better, but needs to be improved.

2d all the way. The 3d is just too much, and I think if you made the perspective better, it still could'nt improve the overall look.

The perspective on both is way off.

Of these two, the 2D version is better. It's not only the perspective which is wrong in the 3D version, the colouring and ambient lighting is totally different from the setting.

For now the 2d is better but i would suggest. try a different perspective and add some texture or colour to the type, i love working with greys but a big ass slab of grey 3d text on a nice background dosent work 4 anyone. have u played round with different fonts 4 the 2d?

why have it in perspective at all?
I would get rid of it completely. Makes the ad classier and more subtle as opposed to plain wrong and amateurish

Forget worrying about the execution, I feel the concept is weak (unless I am missing something).

I don't understand. Take the badly executed 'itch' off the stage and show us again.

Exactly Mitch - I would like to see it without the 'itch' to see if the concept works (it certainly doesn't as it stands). I doubt it will though...

Agreed. Even your drop shadow is off, on the curtain behind (3D) as well as on the floor for both.

def 2d, 3d is cheesy in my opinion. 2d gets the message across VERY effectively.
