wee, finally something to show you guys, aside from my portfolio.

whether you like it or not, it wont bother me. but i would like it if you could throw a critique or 2 my way.

heres the template im still tinkering with.

too many capitals, not enough contrast between different colors used.

thanks for the input, fixxing the capitals, but im at a loss for finding colors that will suit the layout, the accent color i want to use is a yellow, or a cream yellow, but i cant find it ;/

I think you're looking for a pastel colour? Try using Photoshop's colour selectors, they've got some good ones. Font-wise, the "navigation" text doesn't go. And if you're going to make the header that big, then please make the content area larger as well.

well since a crash yesterday and losing my work i was discouraged, but this is an update, worse or better?

edit: still looking for that accent color lol, im picky or i just have a bad set of colors that dont agree with my taste ;/

what about something like dark orange? terra-cota? "dirty" orange? E37500ish?
(wont look too good on top of the bg image though)

yeah when i went to school, the accent color was the color used apart from the typical colors, ie you got all pale type colors, the accent may be a bright(er) color to stand out from the rest.

& i'll try oranges and see where i get with that.
