http://www.thomasbowler.com/24hull/index.php I'm designing the site/logo for my Uni group project, basically, we're doing "a day in hull".. looking at what there is to do during the day in hull (not a lot!). The name of the site is 24h:ull - 24hours, and hull, made to look like a digital clock, you get the idea. Anyway, this is the first draft of the design, i'm unsure about the colours of the site and the font (ignore the colour of the logo for now, thats just temporary) I'm planning to put the navigation on the transparent bar at the bottom of the flash. As much constructive criticism as possible please! |

I like the genaral concept - the Odeon squares: I find them disturbling... = hard to visualise nice images - flash bit... maybe too big, eh? - 45 degs - look chunky. I'd leave them out. - I like the colour scheme. Not the logo. Maybe it should look more like a digital clock...but that might be cheesey. ...it's all in your hands! - what's with the white bar at the top? ...

i usually keep all the images in their highest quality until the final design has been reached, and then do a batch optimisation based on certain paramaters, saves me having to optimise an image, realise that somethings wrong, change, and keep optimising Quote:
