Newborn Designs is a website design company thats site will be up soon.

We have made 3 draft sites (emphasis on draft) and need to know which design is the best.

Please select which design you prefer and then give us all the critique you can on it remembering its a draft.

Cheers, Alex

Definitely number one. The others have really strange typography that steals from the "soft" look more. The first one puts nice emphasis on the logo and nav, while at the same time showcasing your business' "working with people" side.

I think gradients and showdows are a really dated look now. They also slow the downloads time

i almost like the first one but its not really been designed with output to a screen in mind. too much wasted space in the header above the navigation.

the 2nd & 3rd don't flick any switches round here. look a bit dated to be honest.

I actually prefered number 3

reason being that number 1 looks very dated, overly done style imo although it works well.

Number 2 looks like it had been run through too many ps filters

but number 3 I liked the colour scheme and nice photography although I didnt like the mask effects used on them all.

Not sure I could plump for any one... I take all the points about 1 and 3 and agree with most them. The thing that makes 3 more interesting for me is the large curve, maybe you could work that into the style of number 1 more ?

either way looks like 2's out

i agree that the headers take up too much space on all of them. i'd pick number 1 also. i prefer the curves at the top of number 1 to the curves in number 3. in number 3 the shapes look too unnatural. maybe i'm just prejudiced against ovals
